Cordaba 4th Sept

Another incredibly beautiful Moorish city. We set off early after giving the dogs the usual early morning walk:

Cordoba is reputed to be in the hottest part of Spain. It was 37*C when we visited, and that was in September! There is a joke in Spain that shows the earth and the sun, and in between another planet labelled Cordoba!

The centre-piece of Cordoba is an enormous mosque, that is supposed to be the 2nd largest in Europe. It was built in the 11th century. I have tried to restrain myself after Alambra, am only sharing 33 photos this time!

A pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! Ahh! or is it a leprachorn? Hehe, it was light filtering through a stained glass window!

A catholic church, was built inside the mosque when it was taken over, hence the gold and statues. The moslems only use abstract designs.

We had a nice cooling drink in the courtyard of this plush hotel:

There was even a fountain!
